NAWIC Supports Women in seizing opportunities in the construction industry. Whether you're launching a new career, expanding your network, seeking mentorship, making a difference in your community, continuing your education, or forming lasting friendships, NAWIC offers countless opportunities — both big and small.
Education
NAWIC Detroit is a top contributor to the NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF), providing scholarships for college and skilled trades education. NEF also offers courses and certifications covering the essentials of construction, including terminology, processes, procedures, and technology, giving you a solid industry foundation.
Career
NAWIC members include business owners, managers, executives, subcontractors, accountants, estimators, tradeswomen, attorneys, architects, and engineers. Chapter meetings, national conventions, and regional conferences provide a powerful platform for building and expanding your business network.
Community
We are passionate about introducing students, from Kindergarten to college, to careers in construction. Our annual Block Kids competition allows K-6 students to be creative and innovative while tackling a construction-related challenge. The winner can advance to regional and national competitions.
